F.A.Q.

Q. Can I bring my kids?

A. If they're over 8 years old, and they have a parent or guardian present, then yes! We would love for you to bring your kids along, and we even offer a 10% discount on bookings for anyone under the age of 15.

Q. Do I need to have any canoeing experience?

A. Nope! We provide a 1 hour intro to canoeing course at the beginning of each trip, and the trips themselves are designed to run at a beginner pace.

Q. Do I need to be in great shape?

A. No. Canoeing is good exercise, and we will also have to stop along the way  to carry the gear over to the next lake (never longer than 1km). However you do not need to be a top athlete, the activity is always at a fairly slow, easy pace. A good comparison to canoeing is hiking. We rarely paddle more than 2 or 3 hours at a time, so if you can hike for 2 hours you should have no problem canoeing for 2 hours.

Q. Where do we sleep?

A. We stay on campsites maintained by the provincial park, and we sleep in tents that we will supply. We bring Therm-A-Rest sleeping pads and Sleeping bags to ensure you have a comfortable rest.

Q. Can I join a trip as a solo traveler?

A. Yep! Solo travelers are welcome to join our trips, just be aware we may ask you to share a tent with another same-gendered guest.

Q. Can I bring alcohol?

A. No, alcohol is not allowed on any trip.

Q. Do I need to tip my guide?

A. Tipping is not necessary but tips are appreciated and accepted by your guide

Q. What's your refund policy?

A. We take a 10% deposit upon booking, the remaining 90% is fully refundable until 3 months before your trip's departure date. After this we will refund 50% of your trip, up to a month before your trip's departure. Once your trip is less than a month away we cannot offer any refunds.
